Commission by Yinka Shonibare’s Guest Projects, RADICAL ABSTRACTION was a collaboration between artists Inês Neto dos Santos and Tomas Jefanovas, drawing inspiration from the work of Hilma af Klint. Videos and sound, by Jefanovas, and food, by Neto dos Santos, were created in harmony and matched by specific geometric shapes and colours. Drawing from af Klint’s use of symbolism and the spiritual, the artists devised an immersive, sensory evening of light, sound, image and taste.
